JMB Dance Academy is owned and directed by Miss Jordan Mojzer-Brown. Miss Jordan has over 15 years of dance training and 10 years of dance teaching. She is one of the only dance instructors in the St. Cloud/Lake Nona area to be certified in all three levels of Progressing Ballet Technique, hold her B.S in Elementary and Special Education, her Master of Education, and is a member of the National Dance Education Organization and the Florida Dance Education Organization.
Miss Jordan used her vast knowledge to create a curriculum that follows the National Standards for Dance Education. This curriculum is used throughout all the programs at JMB Dance Academy.
Miss Jordan started taking Acro lessons at 10 years old at a local studio in Pittsburgh, PA. She quickly fell in love with dance and started to take Ballet and Jazz classes. During high school Miss Jordan became an assistant dance instructor and substituted for the instructors on a regular basis. It was then that she realized she loved passing her knowledge and passion of dance onto other dancers.
While attending Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (SRU), Miss Jordan continued to take dance classes in the studio and in the classroom. It was during this time that she gained a deeper appreciation for traditional Jazz and various genres of dance. After her freshman year of college, Miss Jordan became a dance instructor at Albright Dance Stars.
After graduating from SRU with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education, she accepted a teaching position at Narcoossee Elementary (NCES) and moved to Florida in 2013. While teaching at NCES, Miss Jordan became the dance instructor for the SPIRIT after school program. She taught boys and girls Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Ballet several days a week.
Dance has taught Miss Jordan more than movement, it has taught her respect, discipline, and teamwork. She instills these life skills into her dancers during every class
